10 years...

I can't believe it's been ten years since that horrible, tragic day. I remember watching the news before school started. At that time only the North tower had been hit. I remember watching the news at school as well.. and the teacher telling us that we needed to write in our journals about what was happening. At the time I was 15 years old and really didn't comprehend the devastation. I quickly wrote about 4 sentences and left it at that. Now that I'm older watching it replay on the news or different T.V. programs brings me to tears. I still can't believe how many lives were lost. How many Fathers, Mothers, Sisters, Brothers, Sons, Daughters, Uncles, Aunts, Grandchildren, and friends did not go home that night. It is so heartbreaking to hear loved ones tell the stories of saying goodbye one last time.

We will NEVER forget......

Playing with Daddy!

During Alexis' riding lessons last week.. Jonathon was playing around with Kinleigh, trying to keep her entertained! She sure is a monkey :) Hanging upside down...

Feet over head...

Lots and lots of kisses... she is VERY ticklish :)

SOOOO cute!!! She loves her Daddy!

Alexis in Tumbling!

Alexis is absolutely LOVING her tumbling, gymnastics, and riding lessons. This is her Tumbling class. She gets SO excited to go.. and she really does get better every week. Her cartwheels have really improved, considering she didn't know how to do one before she started! I'm so proud of her! She is so fun to watch :)

So.. last week Alexis comes running in the house and says "Mom, you have to come see this snake!" For some reason I thought she was just playing pretend.. and saw like a stick or something. I was getting ready at the time so I told her I'd come out in a minute. She kept coming in every couple of minutes saying "Mom, come look it's a snake!" She kept saying "It is SO gross!" So I finally went outside and thought she was going to just show me a stick. Well right when I walked out the neighbor says "Hey, do you want a new pet?" So my little Lexi was telling the truth and there really was a snake across the street in the neighbors flowerbed. I told Alexis I thought she was just playing and she says.. "Mom, I do not lie." ha ha.

Kinleigh Rose!

My cute little monkey is growing WAY too fast :( She has been trying to crawl the last couple of weeks and finally figured it out on Sept. 8th. The day she turned 7 months old. She'll go a little ways then stop.. or her arms will give out on her. I'm so proud of her! I sure do wish she'd stay little longer though...

These were taken before church last Sunday :) She is so cute!

Sept. 2, 2011. Lexi's First day of School!

Well my little Lexi started school on Sept. 2. She was SO excited to go! Her class doesn't start till 12:30... so all morning she kept asking me if it was time to go yet. She wasn't afraid at all :) When I picked her up she came running to me and said "That school is SO much fun!" I'm so glad that so far she is really enjoying it! Her teacher is great and there are a few kids from our Ward in her class. Her teachers name is Carrie. When she first heard that she said "Mom, like Aunt Keri's name!" LOL!

She is too stinkin cute!! I love you Lex :)
