Alexis..

I haven't done a post on just Alexis for a while, so I figured I'd better.
Alexis is more energetic then ever. She goes and goes and goes. She always has something to say about every little thing.. and makes sure everyone is listening!
She is always wanting to perform some sort of dance or song for anyone that will watch.
She still really likes dance, and gymnastics, and does good in both. She does tend to get a little distracted at times though.
She is a great big sister most of the time. She usually will let Kinleigh go in her room with her, but there are those days that she doesn't want her "annoying little sister" in there ha ha.
Alexis is funny. She says and does funny things all the time. She still loves to help me do anything and everything.
Alexis was doing really good in Preschool and seemed to like it a lot at first. Now when I tell her she has school, she gets upset and says she doesn't want to go. She said that there is one little girl that isn't very nice to her. Her teacher has also had to talk to me a couple of times about Alexis' behavior. About a week ago she thought a little boy was laughing at her, so she threw sand at him. Then yesterday a little girl ruined her sand castle so she told the little girl she was annoying. I'm not sure why Alexis is acting that way at school. She doesn't have any problems in primary, gymnastics, dance, or when she is playing with any of her little friends.
Alexis gets her feelings hurt very easy though, so I think that is a big part of it. If she thinks someone is laughing at her, or if someone gets mad at her she gets very sad.
It makes me sad to know that for some reason she is just having a hard time at school sometimes. I just want her to be happy all the time, and have fun at school. I know that this is just the beginning.. and that as Alexis grows up there will always be some kid that says something rude or someone that hurts her feelings. But it breaks my heart.. and I wish that she didn't get her feelings hurt so easily.
Alexis is a GREAT kid. Every day she does something that makes me very proud. I love her SO very much. She makes me smile every single day and I'm so glad that I get to be her Mom. Today we are going to register her for Kindergarten. It is so crazy that my little Lex will be in Kindergarten next year!

19 weeks and 1 day :)

This is baby girl at 19 weeks and 1 day. I had my main Ultrasound on Tuesday, the one where they measure everything on the baby and make sure everything looks good! They said baby girl looks GREAT! I always love having Ultrasounds done. It is so amazing what they can see. It's such a great feeling to see my little baby girl and know that she is growing and healthy. And yes she is definitely a girl!

I just made this... yes I know Kinleigh will be 1 very soon.. LOL! My little sister made an announcement for me when Kinleigh was born.. I took so long to print it out that now I can't find it. So I ordered some of these to give to close family and keep for Kinleigh's baby book. Hopefully I won't procrastinate with the next baby.. Ha ha

Baby Update!

Well as of today I am a little over 18 weeks! The picture above was taken Dec. 23, 2011. So then I wasn't even 14 weeks.

I saw Dr. Willis today for my regular OB check-up. Babies heartbeat was 155. I'm almost half way there! I've gained 5 pounds.. but feel like I've gained 50. I'm always so worn out. I had some blood work done today to see if maybe I'm anemic or something, so I guess we'll see. I feel good for the most part though, and have already started to feel the baby move a little. I can't wait to feel that first real kick!

This pregnancy has been so different than with Kinleigh. We waited to get pregnant with Kinleigh for so long that being pregnant was the only thing that I ever really thought about throughout the whole pregnancy. I took a picture of my belly almost every day.. LOL! My pregnancy with Kinleigh went by SO slow. This time it is going WAY too fast. I can't believe I'm almost 20 weeks. It is so surreal that we are being blessed with another little baby. I'm SO excited!

The only name that Jonathon and I have even come close to agreeing on might just be the one we go with.. I guess we'll see :) So for now the babies name will probably be Mya. Yup just simple 3 letter name. If we do go with that I'm spelling it that way because if I spell it Mia, people will think it is ME-A. I don't like that name. So if we spell it Mya.. hopefully people will pronounce it correctly, MY-A. Anyways.. who knows we may change our minds. Now I'm just trying to decide if we can agree on a middle name.. or we might just not have a middle name.

I'm so glad that Kinleigh will have someone close in age to play with!

Kineleigh 11 months!

I can not believe my baby girl is 11 months old. I'm late in posting this considering she turned 11 months on the 8th, but better late than never.

At Kinleigh's last doctors appt. on Dec. 20th she weighed 16 lbs. 6 oz. Of course that was back at the end of December so I'm hoping she weighs more than that now.

-Kinleigh is tiny. Everyone that sees her can't believe that she is 11 months old and walking. She's been walking since 8 months.

-Kinleigh LOVES to smile at people. She mostly smiles at girls.. and is a little afraid of men. I'm not sure why but she cries every time Jonathon's dad even looks at her. Today at the Dr.'s office she was smiling at everyone and then one of the doctors walked out and she started freaking out. It's just certain men.. not sure why.

-Kinleigh LOVES to dance just like Alexis did. Any time music comes on she starts to spin in circles and claps her hands :)

-Kinleigh likes to eat and will pretty much eat anything we offer.

-Kinleigh follows Alexis everywhere she goes.. and anytime she even thinks Alexis is heading to her room she'll start walking as fast as possible to sneak in.

-Kinleigh really enjoys when Alexis plays with her :) The other day Alexis was over at a friends house for a couple of hours, when she walked in the door Kinleigh ran to her with her arms up in the air for Alexis to pick her up. She was very excited!

-Kinleigh now has 4 teeth! 2 on top and 2 on the bottom :)

-When she gets tired she'll find her bottle and bring it to me, then put her arms up for me to pick her up and cuddle :)

- She can keep herself pretty entertained with her toys! She'll play in her little corner with her toys for quite a while.. ha ha.

-She already will go in that corner if we are home to do her business.. LOL! I know that when she goes and stands in her corner for a minute, I'll be changing her bum soon after. Ha ha.

-Kinleigh is so much fun right now! She is always smiling.. and she LOVES her Mom!

-She FINALLY started saying Mama a couple of days ago... now I'm just trying to get her to say it more often cuz it's SO cute!

I seriously can't believe she will be 1 in just a couple of weeks :( It has gone by SO fast. I love her so much and can't imagine life without her :)

Little brother is all grown up :(

Derek got sworn in to the National Guard on Jan. 24. My mom was up here spending some time with all of us so she was able to go. I'm glad the girls and I were able to go support him. I'm proud of Derek :)

Jazz Game with Alexis! 1/19/12

We decided to take Alexis to her first Jazz game! She had so much fun... she mostly enjoyed the cheerleaders and Jazz Bear of course :) The Jazz ended up losing 94-91 to the Dallas Mavericks.. but it was such a fun game!

We got a ticket for Sterling too cuz he'd never been to a game... He had a great time!

We've been going bowling a lot lately as a family... it is just something we all enjoy and have a lot of fun with! This is Kinleigh at the bowling alley.. I couldn't get her to look.. but she LOVES it! She gets to dance to music and run around :) Jonathon and I took the girls swimming on his last days off :)

I was going through Jonathon's cell pictures the other day to see if I was missing any good ones.. This one of Alexis and Kinleigh is older. I'm not sure when it was taken exactly but it is SO cute!

This is Alexis about a week ago... She is so cute! She always picks her own outfits, and she has her own little style. Jonathon took this picture because she looked a lot like Jesse's girlfriend Bethany this day. They both have very curly hair.. and Bethany always wears skinny jeans, and these kinds of shoes.. Alexis was excited that everyone thought she looked like Bethany!

This was taken on Jan. 2! Alexis was watching the Rose Bowl game with her Dad! Oregon Ducks won :) Now whenever the Ducks come on t.v. Alexis yells there is Daddy's Ducklings! LOL :)

This was taken back in Dec. I guess this is what Jonathon looks like at work when they are doing Mine Safety stuff. He is on the Mine Safety crew! I thought it was a funny picture!

Jazz Game! 1/14/12

Jonathon and I went to the Jazz game the other night with Jesse, Bethany, Dave, and Kym. Dave is a guy that works with Jonathon. Him and his wife Kym are really nice! We all had such a good time! We first walked around the Gateway Mall, then ate at Tuccanos, then headed to the game :) The game was great! Deron Williams returned to Utah with the New Jersey Nets, and Utah fans were not to happy with him. The Jazz ended up with the win! I didn't have my camera, so these are just some crappy cell phone pictures. It was such a fun night!! GO JAZZ!

Update!

This year for New Year's we went to Eve in Salt Lake. Alexis had a blast! They have lots of things to do for kids :) I didn't take my camera. I'm bummed I didn't get any pictures. It was a lot of fun though and we had fun with Jonathon's Aunt VaLynn's family.

I can't believe it is 2012! 2011 was such a good year for our family.. I was sad to see it end. But we are excited to see what 2012 brings.

Just for journal purposes I wanted to hurry and post about the other night. Monday night I went to the bathroom and noticed I was spotting. I wanted to freak out, but I stayed calm and just kept telling myself that everything would be fine. I called Jonathon and he said that if I noticed anymore to go to the E.R. I didn't spot the rest of the night, so I just called the Dr. the next morning. I went and saw Dr. Willis and he said babies hearbeat was strong, but he wanted me to go have an ultrasound just to make sure. So I went and had an ultrasound. The lady that did it was so nice. She spent a long time just really looking close to the placenta and my uterus. She said she didn't see any signs of bleeding and said everything looked great! Baby looks healthy and is the size she should be right now. It was pretty scary, but I knew that everything would be ok :)

The lady that did the ultrasound said that from what she could see the baby looks like a girl! So we are just going to go with that :) I knew it was a girl from when the guy did the first ultrasound. I don't know if we'll ever get a boy, but I'm just happy to have a healthy baby so far. I used to like so many girl names.. and it seems like it is getting harder to come up with one that Jonathon and I both like. I knew I was going to name Kinleigh "Kinleigh" before I was even pregnant with her. I guess we'll see. On Monday I'll be 16 weeks! I'm feeling a lot bettter than I did in the beginning of the pregnancy... :)
