HAPPY EASTER :)

This was our (kind of pathetic) Easter stuff we threw together for Alexis. We didn't get back from Monticello (we were getting the rest of our stuff) till the night before Easter Sunday. We had to hurry and run to the store and grab a few things. Alexis woke up to an Easter basket with goodies.. and then Jonathon hid a bunch of eggs down in our basement because it was so windy outside that day. Alexis still had a lot of fun, and she loved her basket.. but I wish we would've had more time to put something more fun together.

Look at all the stuff in back of her.. LOL We pretty much threw all our stuff in the kitchen and slept on the living room floor that night, because we were so tired. Ha Ha

Quick update

Alexis and Kinleigh sleeping in our NEW house for the first time :)

Well we've been over in Elko the last couple of weeks. The hotel definately starts to get boring pretty quickly. Luckily Kelly and Nicole were over there staying with Chad as well while we were there. The boys usually don't get back to the hotel from work until about 6:30 or 7:00. Then we usually all go get something to eat, mainly so that us girls can get out of the hotel room. Then Jonathon and I usually will try to take Alexis swimming or something. The days can be pretty long when we are over in Elko.. and it's nice to get a break from being over there.

Jonathon and I found out that on April 12th we were officially homeowners!!! YAY :) We are so very excited that everything went well with that and we now have a house!!

Alexis, Kinleigh, and I drove to Provo on Friday. My mom and Derek drove up there for the weekend, so we met them over at Kelly's house. It was fun to hang out with my mom and Keri. Jonathon and my Dad drove over from Elko on Saturday night. They met us out in Saratoga Springs at our new house because my mom and I were there. We spent most of the day Saturday cleaning the house. The owners before us were clean, but not deep cleaners like me. So we scrubbed EVERYTHING! We also got our carpets cleaned professionally :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE my house!! We spent the night at our house on Saturday night (we all slept on the floor, because our bed is in Monticello right now.) On Sunday Adam, Keri, Derek, Kristina, Chad, and Kelly all came over to check out our new house.. and also to visit. Chad, Jonathon, and my Dad left around 7:00 pm. on Sunday to head back to Elko. It really sucked that Jonathon only got to spend a few hours at our new house.. but while he was there we had a great time! We were able to go to Lowes and get a few things we needed for the house. Our first official piece of furniture for the new house was Jonathon's idea... LOL. We bought a 60" LCD TV. from Best Buy! Jonathon LOVES it. I was hoping our first piece of furniture would be couches.. ha ha.

Well since Jonathon had to go back to Elko, I decided to follow my mom to Monticello yesterday with the girls so that I could get our stuff together. So right now the girls and I are here in Monticello. Jonathon is hopefully going to get a week off starting this weekend so he'll meet me down here. We'll get our stuff packed and head back up to Saratoga Springs :) I can't wait till we get furniture in our house.. and for me to be able to start decorating! I'm so glad we have a place that we can call home!


Kinleigh is just growing and growing. She smiles all the time now! She really is getting more fun everyday. She is such a sweetheart! She is still so good at night.. and she is a lot less fussy in the day then she used to be. She loves to watch Alexis.. and loves when Alexis talks to her!

Big Sister :)

Jonathon let Alexis hold Kinleigh while standing up the other day. I was freaking out.. because I don't think Alexis is old enough to hold her without sitting down. Of course Alexis just smiles this huge smile and says "I got her mom!" I took a quick pic, and then made Alexis sit back down with her. Kinleigh is just too little still. But Alexis is a proud big sissy!

She LOVES her Snugli :)

Kinleigh LOVES her Snugli! She would probably sit in it all day if we let her. She loves to look around at everything and she loves to be held. So when I need both my arms I put her in this! Jonathon was wearing it the other night and took it of and started walking around with it. He would swing Kinleigh back and forth and she just loved it! She is very content in her Snugli :) I never go to the store without it now. I used to just take her car seat in with me, but Kinleigh would usually wake up while I was trying to shop. Now I just put her in her Snugli and she'll fall asleep and I can take my time in the grocery store! Thank heavens for the Snugli!!!

8 weeks old :)

My little Kinleigh is now 8 weeks old as of yesterday! She is just the cutest thing ever. She has such a sweet personality. Kinleigh hardly ever cries.. but when she does she SCREAMS. She gets very worked up.. and will let you know that she is mad. She has the sweetest little face.. and I can't stand it when she cries. When she smiles she just melts my heart :) I LOVE YOU KINLEIGH!! She loves loves taking baths.. she would probably sit in there all day if I let her!

The house :)

This is the house that we are supposed to be signing papers on any day now!!! There are just a few things in the house that we will be changing.. but for the most part it is PERFECT for us :) We want to Tile the kitchen, bathrooms, and entry way upstairs.. and possibly put in the same carpet upstairs that is in the basement. This is the basement! It is completely finished :) They have this wet bar downstairs.. Jonathon loves it because he wants to make this room a theatre room. There are two bedrooms downstairs and one bath. There is also a huge storage room for food storage or whatever else. There is also a really fun little play room. In the playroom they've built this really neat little thing that you climb up and slide down a slide. The playroom even has doors so you can shut the kids in there while you watch a movie.. LOL :) I LOVE this basement!!

This is the front of the house. I hate that the picture was taken in the winter because you can tell how beautiful the landscaping is. They did such a great job on the yard! It is gorgeous :) There is even a little water fountain in the back.. and stairs leading up to a place made for a fire pit. I LOVE the landscaping :) But this picture just doesn't do it any justice at all... I'll have to take a new one when we move in.

There isn't pictures of the master bedroom or the two other rooms upstairs that will be used as the girls' room. So all together there is 5 bedrooms plus the office room upstairs and the playroom downstairs and 3 and 1/2 bathrooms. It is like 3200 sq. feet I believe. It really is perfect for our little family :) I'm soooo glad we found it! I think the people that live there right now have it decorated pretty cute! I'm excited to see what I can come up with :)

We haven't signed the papers yet.. so it is still not official. I'm not letting myself get too excited until I have the keys in my hand.. LOL.

My precious little Kinleigh has been sick the last couple of days :( I took her to the doctor on Friday just to make sure it wasn't anything too serious. The doctor said that she has just a little bit of a cold, but to keep an eye on it. Kinleigh now at 7 weeks weighs 9 lbs. 9 oz. :) So she is definitely growing, even though she still looks so teeny tiny. Alexis and I also have colds.. so hopefully we all get feeling better soon. We are more than likely going to be closing on the house by April 20th!! I'm so excited :) For now though.. we will be heading back over to Elko tomorrow. It has been a fun week though. Jonathon and I have gotten to spend a lot of quality time together! It's been a very relaxing, stress free week with my hubby and girls!!

Date night :)

I didn't take a picture but for date night tonight Jonathon and I went and ate dinner at Tepanyaki! It was soooo good! I've been on a Sushi kick ever since Kelly introduced me to it in Elko :) Anyways we had a really fun time! Thanks Babe :) On another note... we did a walk through yesterday at the house in Saratoga Springs that we made an offer on. Jonathon has been working on buying this house for a month now. Everything was looking great and then today we got a little bit of bad news. It may affect us getting the loan, all because Jonathon doesn't have two years work history in Mining. He didn't Mine at all in 2009. So that might be the one reason we don't get this house :( We will have to see though. We still need to do the inspection tomorrow and make sure everything is good in the house anyways. But I'm crossing my fingers.. so I guess we'll see. Buying a house is very stressful.. and I haven't had to do anything. It seems like Jonathon has lived on the phone ever since we made an offer.. Hopefully we'll just know either way soon.

We went to the park today because the weather was so great! Jonathon and Alexis had a great time swinging.

They climbed this huge tree :) Alexis was a little afraid at first but Jonathon made her feel very confident! They got all the way to the top!

It seriously seems like Kinleigh changes every single day. She is starting to smile more often :) She is a baby that definitely does better with a routine/schedule already. She will get very fussy if she isn't put to bed by 7:30, 8 ish. She gets very upset when she is tired. She also likes the room to be calm and dark. She doesn't do well with a lot of noise and a lot going on. She still loves her soothie binky, but spits it out when she is almost asleep. Kinleigh absolutely LOVES taking a bath/shower. She really enjoys taking showers with her Daddy! She fell asleep in the shower this morning :) She really liked walking to the park today in her "Snuggle." Jonathon liked it too! That way he could hold her and talk on the phone at the same time.. lol.

I feel like I'm going to blink and Kinleigh is going to be 6 months old. I'm glad that she is getting her own personality and she is awake more often.. but I don't want it to go too fast.
