Worst Mom EVER.. :(

On Sunday, June 29th the worst thing ever happened :( Kinleigh had fallen asleep after church and I unbuckled her while she slept in her car seat. Jonathon and I were talking in the garage and I set the car seat down. When I went to pick it back up the handle didn't lock into the right position and Kinleigh fell right out. Luckily there was a blanket on top of her so she landed on the blanket. And she only fell about a foot because she fell right as I picked up the car seat. But it was still on the cement floor of the garage. :( She had a bump on her little head.. and she would not stop crying... so we took her to the E.R. The doctor checked her out and said she looked just fine. He said she'd just probably get a bruise around her eye, because her eye was a little swollen. I cannot even begin to explain how horrible I felt. I seriously felt like the worst mom in the whole entire world. My poor little baby girl :( I've never had a black eye in my entire life, and she has already had one now at the age of 3 1/2 months :(

So I was feeling like I was the only parent in the whole world that would ever do something so stupid. I was telling Jonathon's family about it.. and a few of them have also done this to their children. So it made me feel a little better... (at least I wasn't the only one.) But I still to this day feel so bad about it. I'm sorry Kinleigh girl :(

Kinleigh was a great sport though. After she took a little nap right after she fell.. she woke up smiling and happy.. :) Hopefully she forgave me.
