Life is perfect right now! That really sums it up :)
On Sept. 13th Jonathon started at Kennecott right here in UTAH!! YAY no more Elko, NV. He still works for Cementation, and Cementation sent a few of their guys over here!!! Jonathon and Chad both got to come and I'm sure Kelly is just as happy as I am. It has been SO SO GREAT to have Jonathon home every single day! It took me a little bit to get used to it. I kept thinking he'd have to go back to Elko. But nope! He is here for good :) :) We FINALLY finished the girls' rooms!! We kept putting them off because when Jonathon was working in NV. on his weeks off the last thing he wanted to do was a bunch of house projects. So now that he is home for good we finished them! I think they turned out really cute! Alexis is very proud of her room and has to show everyone that comes over! LOL! I'll have to post some pic's sometime soon.
Some quick updates on all of us...
Jonathon - is SO happy to be working here in Utah. He is only about 20 minutes from work if that!! He's such a huge help here at home with the girls and I'm so happy to have my husband back! Jonathon just bought a truck about 2 weeks ago or so. He is in LOVE with it! He says it is his dream truck! So he's been having fun with that!
Me - I'm still doing the same old stuff :) But I enjoy the same old stuff! I'm glad to be back home and in the routine. I've been attempting to cook, which is big for me because I DO NOT cook. But I want to be able to teach the girls how to cook and bake and things like that.
Alexis- is still doing great in school, gymnastics, tumbling, dance, and riding lessons. She is a little bummed because she'll probably only get to ride "Sunny" a couple more times before it gets to cold. She is really starting to like dance because they are starting to learn a dance that they'll perform. She always looks forward to gymnastics/tumbling and I'm glad she likes it. She still really likes school as well. So I wanted to get an update from her teacher about how Alexis has been doing in school. So I sent her teacher an email and her teacher said that Alexis is doing really well, but there were a few times she had to talk to her about her behavior. She said that Alexis would sometimes plug her ears when the other kids were talking. When her teacher asked why Alexis would say "because they talk to much, and they are too loud." Alexis would also stick her tongue out at some of the kids if they didn't listen to her right away. Her teacher said she is doing a lot better and hasn't done those things in a while. Sometimes I just have to laugh because that is definitely how Alexis can be sometimes. She is so used to getting our full attention so I'm sure she is still adjusting to having to share the "Spotlight" with other kids in her class.
They just started bringing home books to read from school. She loves to get in her bed at night and read them to me. Right now she is just memorizing what they say.. she'd not actually reading all the words, but she is doing awesome! Alexis has really been practicing writing her name, and she has it down now. It looks awesome and I'm so proud of her :)
Anyways she really is doing GREAT in everything and I'm am so very proud of her! I love you my little Lex :)
Kinleigh - is growing like a weed. She just turned 8 months old yesterday. She is all over the place right now. She can crawl so fast now, that if I walk into the other room and turn around she is already half way to me. She started pulling herself onto anything she can back in the beginning of September. She will walk all along the couch while holding on of course. She does get brave though and sometimes she'll just let go of things... that usually results in bumping her head or something :( I know she'll be walking in no time.
We are still giving her new and different foods every week... and she is really starting to be interested in eating. She always wants to try whatever we have. She used to hate her little snack puffs we have for her and just this past week she has decided that she likes them.
She will only sleep on her belly now with her bum sticking up in the air. She has to be right up in the corner of her crib also.
Kinleigh is going to be really sad that we aren't going to be able to go play outside as much anymore now that it is getting colder. She really loves the grass. It is funny because Alexis did not like the feeling of the grass.
Kinleigh is so much fun right now! She is such a happy baby. Even when she is tired she is usually still smiling. She smiles at just about anyone that says hi to her! I love my baby girl so so much!
We are all excited for the holidays coming up! Alexis can't wait to pick out a Halloween costume and she can't wait to set up the Christmas tree. I told her it will still be a while until we do that. But then again the holidays go so dang fast we'll be putting it up here in no time :)
