Our Lexi girl turned 6 years old on July 9! Jonathon was working that day so we didn't do anything too exciting. I decorated the kitchen a little and blew up a ton of balloons so that she'd have something to wake up to. Jonathon brought home a new bike for her and then we took her out to dinner to Red Lobster! It was nice to have dinner with just her. My mom watched the babies for us, and Alexis was pretty excited to have us all to herself. The people at Red Lobster sang to her, and then we went over to the park that Jonathon's family was playing volleyball at and everyone sang to her there. Celena had baked her a cake and she was pretty happy about that!!
I can't believe I have a 6 year old. Where has the time gone?? It is so crazy to me that she will be starting school soon!
Alexis is still as outgoing and energetic as ever. She rarely ever sits still, unless she is watching a movie. She loves to be outside riding her bike, or even just walking around. She still plays with Sophie a lot.. and says she is her best friend right now. Alexis still enjoys spending the night at Grandma Celena's and hanging out with her Aunties. She loves to sing and dance and will pretty much perform for anyone. She loves to color and make pictures for everyone. She is really enjoying sending pictures to her Uncle Derek. Alexis is usually really nice to Kinleigh and will let her play most the time... She still doesn't really go out of her way to play with her though.. unless she is really bored. Alexis is great with Paisley, and enjoys holding her. For being a 6 year old Alexis cares way to much about what her hair looks like already. She is going through a stage in which she only ever wants her hair down. She rarely lets me do it the way I want to anymore.. so usually it is just a tangled mess! Alexis always picks out her own outfits.. and usually comes up with some pretty cute ones. There are those days though that I have to tell her to change because she is trying to wear shorts that are WAY to small for her.
If I could sum Alexis up in one word right now.. it would have to be "ATTITUDE." She can be such a little stinker!!! It actually makes me really nervous because if she is like this at 6.. then what will she be like at 16?
Alexis can also be very very sweet though.. and I really cherish those times.. LOL! She still loves to cuddle with Jonathon and I. Even though she can be a stinker.. she is always quick to apologize for acting that way. She says "Mom, I am really trying to be better!" So I guess as long as she tries her best every day, that is all that matters.
Alexis is also very funny. She makes me laugh all the time!!!
