LAGOON!

We went to Lagoon on Tuesday :) And we only had to pay $10.00 to get in! Amazing.. we had such a fun time! This is the sunset from the Ferris Wheel!
Alexis and Jonathon on the huge Ferris Wheel. After we got on it.. I remembered just how terrified of heights I am. I was miserable.. but Alexis loved it!!

This Roller Coaster is called "The Bat." Alexis rode this with Jonathon.. We thought she would freak out considering just a few months ago she starting crying on the merry go round.. But nope she loved it!

This was a cute little kid Roller coaster.. it's very blurry but you get the idea..

She didn't cry on this Merry-go-round!

Fun little helicopter ride!

Alexis was very brave.. This little ride would drop them down.. and she kept saying it makes my tummy feel funny!

Alexis' 4th B-day!

Alexis' 4th b-day was so much fun!! My family came up and All of us including Jonathon's family went to Sev,en Peaks on Saturday :) We were there from 11:00 am. - 7 pm. I got fried in the sun... but it was worth it! We ended up getting season passes because for one day the cost is $21.00 and they are giving their season passes for $34.00 right now. So hopefully we get to go there a lot before the summer ends. Alexis had such a good time playing with Christian, Mary, and Nicole! All of us girls had a good time too!

Later that night we had cake, ice cream, and pizza and opened presents! Alexis got a lot of cool stuff! My mom got her lots of cute clothes and a fun game. Celena got her a giant horse and a little stuffed horse (she is WAY into horses right now.) Aunt Valynn's family got her a cute outfit.. and Chris and Summers family got her cute little stuffed animals and a little kitty toy. We got her a barbie car, a set of play horses, clothes, and a very nice guitar. Jonathon of course picked that out... and he can't wait to start teaching her. She has showed a lot of interest in playing... and we'd catch her playing Jonathon's all the time. Her guitar is adorable! It's pink and her perfect size :) Keri and Kelly got Alexis some clothes as well! I'm so thankful that we have such great family that comes and supports Alexis. She loves all her cousins and aunts and uncles so much! Anyways it was such a fun day... and I just can't believe that my baby girl is 4 years old... she is WAY too big!

Alexis has been such a blessing in my life and I can't imagine my life without her. Life is hard sometimes and if I didn't have my little family I just don't know where I'd be. I've been blessed with a wonderful little girl. She is a busy busy child.. and never slows down EVER. She is such a little helper and always wants to help me make breakfast and fold laundry. She is the MOST BEAUTIFUL girl in the whole world! HAPPY HAPPY b-day to you Princess! WE LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THIS WHOLE WORLD!

Time to be lazy :)

It's official.. I'm a stay-at-home mom again! Although I have loved working at Dry Creek Family Practice.. I decided to give them my two week notice. Jonathon and I have just been talking and he basically told me to just quit so that he can see me more when he is home on his week off. Well with the Pest Control Company he's been so busy even on his weeks off doing that.. so I didn't get to see him very much. And not only that, but I felt bad because my schedule was just getting to crazy.. they let me do it to where I could go with Jonathon to Elko on his weeks on then work when we were here... But they've hired a few new people and it was just getting complicated. I really did have such a great year working there and met a lot of great people. It will be so weird to just be able to stay home all day. When we lived in Ticaboo, I would get bored now and then... but loved being able to just be with Alexis. I told Alexis today that I don't ever have to go to work anymore.. and she was so excited. Towards the end I was only working like 2 to 3 days a week.. which was really nothing.. But I'm still glad I get to just relax and be home!

Alexis decided to go for a ride...

One of my worst nightmares came true today. Not that I want to remember this day.. but I do want to make sure I write down my feelings and things for Journal purposes.

Alexis and I got home from Elko this morning.. and I've been busy cleaning the house.. going grocery shopping, and then I started to mow the lawn. Alexis always comes outside with me.. and will play on her swing set or ride her bike while I mow the lawn. Usually I close the garage after I get the lawn mower out so that Alexis won't go in and out of the house or play in the car. (which for some reason she has been wanting to do.) Well I didn't close the garage today.. and my biggest mistake was that I didn't put the parking brake on in the car... or make sure it was locked.
I started mowing the lawn and just kept checking on Alexis every couple of minutes. She was riding her bike around.. so I kept on going. Not even 2 minutes later from the corner of my eye.. I see my car rolling down the driveway. YES, rolling away without ME in it. I started screaming and just running towards the car. Grandpa Carter was standing in his yard and all I could yell out was "Grandpa, she is in the car." The worst thing ever was Alexis' face. She was so scared. I was so helpless and for what seemed like forever.. all I could really do was watch my car with my little girl in it rolling away. It was actually only a few seconds... because luckily the car hit Grandpa Carters fence on the side of his house and stopped. I just grabbed Alexis out of the car and she kept saying "Mommy, I'm so sorry." HOLY CRAP... my heart seriously stopped beating for those few seconds. I couldn't believe what had just happened. After calling the insurance company to make sure that Grandpa Carters fence would be paid for.. and just breathing.. I started thinking of all the things Alexis could have hit.. and that she just so happened to miss. For one Jonathon's truck is parked right on the side of where the car started rolling.. also Grandpa Carters truck was right in the way. I thought for sure the car wasn't going to stop until she hit someones house. I'm so very thankful that the car came to a stop quickly.. otherwise I probably would've passed out from panicking. Anyways I would never ever wish that feeling upon any parent. I've never been more scared in my life.. and I feel like the worst parent in the whole world. I can't believe she was able to get in the car without me knowing it and put the car in neutral. NEVER EVER again will I leave my vehicle unlocked or not put the parking brake on. I'm so thankful that my little girl is safe and that the only thing she was worried about.. was that I was so upset...

So our insurance will cover the property damages.. which is good... But Jonathon's dad is Great and he actually fixed the fence. It doesn't even look like anything happened to it. The only other damage was Grandpa and Grandma Carter's tree and a little wagon. I thought that the car would be destroyed.. but there isn't anything wrong other then the license plate has a little dent. You seriously wouldn't be able to tell that anything happened.. but I will always remember this day.. and the feeling that I had when I saw my baby girl rolling away from me. I know I would've stepped in front of the vehicle before it kept going.. but then I probably would be in the hospital. My adrenaline definitely kicked in and I would've done whatever it took to get my baby out of there.. I am just so thankful that nobody got hurt. I really do feel like the worst parent ever :(
But I know this will just help me remember to never take my eyes of of her for even one second. No matter how big she gets. All I can do is say Thank heavens.

Alexis and I came to Elko with Jonathon again... and right now he is on days.. So the 4th of July was not that fun for us. I think Elko's parade was on Saturday, but I didn't really feel comfortable going by ourselves without Jonathon.. and I wasn't even sure where it was or what time it started. I'm sad that we weren't at home for all the celebrations. I keep thinking that I'm lucky that I get to just sit and relax all day in the hotel... but I was bored out of my mind after the second day. Alexis is having a blast.. because she can go swimming all day long if she wants to. Every morning I wake up to "Mom wake up! It's time to go swimming." Don't get me wrong I enjoy swimming.. But if I don't go for a while.. I won't be to upset. I'm glad that we get to be here when Jonathon gets off work.. It helps his week go by quickly. But I don't know how often I'm going to be able to come do this. I've learned that I am NOT someone that likes to just sit around and watch T.V. I feel like I have to be doing something. So we've walked to the park.. walked to the store.. and yup you guessed it.. we have swam. Ok enough complaining.. I should be glad that I don't have to be away from my husband for a week.. and I am. I think I'm just sad that we missed the celebrations. I got Alexis ready in her 4th of July shirt last night for the Fireworks.. and we had a good time watching them! We get to go home tomorrow :) Yay, I'm very excited! Happy 4th to everyone!

Last weekend was alot of fun :) My parents came up north for the Lehi Rodeo. The kids had a great time.. and I thought it was great. We spent the weekend just visiting and hanging out. We also went for a bike ride one day! My parents ended up staying up north for a couple more days than they planned, because one of my moms cousins Richard Sanchez passed away on June 24th. My parents were glad that they were up there so that they could attend the funeral. It was nice to see family that we never get to see.. but also very sad that someone so great passed away.
