First Ponytail!!

Look who has enough hair to do a pony!!! LOL! It's a VERY SMALL pony but still :) It's been fun!

Update

So it really just seems like months pass by like days.... What is going on?

This past month has been busy for us. We've been signing Alexis up for several different things and as I posted below she has started a few things. She is really enjoying riding lessons still and is now on Phase 2.
She's been to two tumbling classes and two gymnastics classes and really likes both. She says she likes tumbling more though.
She's been to one Piano Lesson and had a great time!
She is VERY excited to start School and Dance class in Sept.

We had Adam and Keri, Kelly, Nicole, Jesse and Bethany over for a BBQ about a week ago! That was lots of fun :)
We got to spend some time with Jonathon's family..
The girls and I went swimming with Kelly, Nicole, Brooke, Abby, and Bracken in Provo one day!
We got to see Ami's little family and help babysit little Havyn!
This past week my mom came up and she stayed with me and the girls :) Nicoley got to stay too, because my mom was babysitting her while Chad and Kelly went on an Anniversary trip.

And Jonathon and I decided that we wanted to have a vacation for us.. so we booked a week long cruise that leaves Sept. 25! I'm so excited to relax and spend time with my hubby! I will however miss the girls like CRAZY :(

Jonathon, Alexis, and I went to the Demolition Derby last weekend at the Utah County Fair! It was a lot of fun and it was so nice to have a Mommy, Daddy, daughter night with Alexis! She got our FULL attention :) Kinleigh stayed at Jonathon's moms house. Alexis enjoyed the Demolition Derby.. but she really enjoyed the rides afterwards! She wanted to do the rock climbing.. but it was a little windy and the lady said Alexis didn't weigh enough. She was pretty bummed out.. but moved on to the next thing pretty quickly :) I didn't take my camera :( So no pic's but it was nice to just take Alexis out for the evening!

The girls and I were going to head over here to Elko yesterday... and right before we were about leave Alexis started begging me to go with my mom to Monticello. So I gave in and instead of coming with Kinleigh and I to visit Jonathon over here in Elko.. she went down to Monticello with my mom. I started crying while I was saying bye to her and she said "Mom, it's okay... I'll be fine." I know she will... it is me I worry about. She is so helpful with Kinleigh and just my little buddy :) So pretty much I cried off and on all day yesterday. Kinleigh and I had an okay trip over here.. except the last hour she scram the entire time :( I didn't have Lexi there to make her happy... so I'm not looking forward to the trip back.

I was SO happy to see Jonathon last night! Even though he only left home on Monday. So it wasn't even a full week like we are used to. But it seems like instead of getting easier and getting used to being apart.. it gets harder and I miss him more every time he leaves us. He is really hoping they'll all be over in Utah in just a few more months. I hope so!

The girls have had a little bit of a cold the last week.. so I took them to the doc. and he said they had a little bit of bronchitis. So we started them on Antibiotics. Hopefully it'll get better before it gets worse.

I have a whole bunch of cell phone pic's I will try and post on here... I need to get caught up on those :)
Anyways life is great! I LOVE my little family so much! I'm so thankful for the job that Jonathon has, even though we have to be apart sometimes. I just can't wait till he is in Utah... and I get to have my hubby home every night :) We are getting to know our neighbors more and more.. and we LOVE the area we live in! I couldn't be more thankful and happy for how my life is!!

Alexis Marie!

This little lady keeps getting busier and busier...

Alexis starts school on Sept. 2nd
Right now her schedule looks like this....
Mondays- School @ 12:30-2:45, Dance @ 3:00
Tuesdays- Piano Lessons @ 4:00
Wednesday -School @ 12:30-2:45, Tumbling @ 4:00
Thursdays - Gymnastics @ 4:00, Riding Lessons @ 6:00
Fridays - School @ 12:30 - 2:45.
Saturdays and Sundays - FREE TIME!!

I wanted to put Alexis into several different things that she is really wanting to try. I told her to let me know if there is something she doesn't like, or if it is too much. So far she is LOVING everything! She is very excited to start school as well!
I'm SOOOO proud of this little girl! She does really well in everything, and really pays attention to the teacher.

Alexis has been trying to get in as many sleepovers at her Auntie's as possible. Because she knows once they start school and once she starts school she won't be able to spend the night as much. I miss her SO much every time she goes to spend the night. But she has such a good time!

Alexis made Jonathon take off her training wheels on her bike the other day. She is pretty determined to ride her bike without training wheels. So she has been practicing :)
Not sure what this face is... But this was a couple of Sundays ago! SO beautiful!

My little COWGIRL! She rarely leaves the house without her Cowgirl hat, matching belt, and matching boots!

I LOVE MY LITTLE LEX SOOOOO MUCH!!!!

6 months old already???

Trying on Lexi's cowgirl hat!

Is this little cutie really already 6 months old??? :( :( I don't want her to grow up anymore... Lol! Oh how I LOVE this little girl!!

*Kinleigh is SOOOOO much fun!

*She now weighs 14 lbs. 6 oz.
*She is ALWAYS smiling (unless she is tired.) She LOVES to play (especially with her Daddy!)
*Kinleigh is sitting up all by herself.. and she's been doing so since about 5 1/2 months old. She usually does really really well. In the morning when she is still a little sleepy she will still fall over sometimes.. ha ha.
*She gets such a kick out of Alexis still! And anytime Alexis is singing or dancing Kinleigh just laughs :)
* She can hold her own bottle really well.. but if she drops it sometimes she picks it up with the wrong end and will try to suck on the bottom of her bottle.. :)
*She is getting VERY close to crawling. She'll get on all fours and rock back and forth.
*She rolls all over the place and get herself pretty far.
*She still loves bath time and loves to go swimming.
*We've been trying different baby foods the past month and she seems to be up to try anything. (very different from Alexis.)
*Still can't stand being in the car for more than 30 minutes.
*She is VERY ticklish :)
*She LOVES her Momma and if she can see me she wants me!
*She won't take her eyes off Jonathon once he gets home. And anytime he comes near her she gets SO excited because she knows he's going to be throwing her in the air!
*She still takes 3 naps a day.
*Goes to bed around 7:30 - 8:00 ish
*She likes to sit in her Bumbo in the morning and watch cartoons for about 20-30 minutes. Then she'll cry to be held.
*She is NOT a cuddler :( She doesn't really like to be cuddled to sleep. If we can get her to, we take full advantage and enjoy every second. Jonathon got her to fall asleep with him on the bed a couple times this last time he was home. She is just such a wiggle worm.
*She has JUST enough hair for me to put a little ponytail on top of her head!! LOVE IT!

I'm pretty sad that she is growing sooo fast. But it's exciting to see her learn and do new things all the time!

WE LOVE YOU BUMP BUMP!

Pretty much since Kinleigh was born.. if you lay her on her back this is what she does. She NEVER puts her head down.

It's so crazy that I'm at 502 blog posts! That is a lot of posts :)

I'm so thankful for this blog! It is sooo fun to go back and look at things we've done the last few years. If it weren't for this blog, I wouldn't have a journal or scrapbook.

Well we've been here in Elko for almost a week, and it's been nice hanging out with Jonathon. My mom also drove here so we've been spending time with her and my Dad also. Being in Elko makes for loooong days.. because Jonathon leaves at 4:30 a.m. and gets back at 7 p.m. The girls wake me up around 7:30 or 8 a.m. and we have to try and keep ourselves entertained all day long. We've gone swimming every morning and both the girls really like that! We've also played at the park :) It's nice to go out for dinner with Jonathon as a family every night.. and just talk to each other. I'm so lucky and blessed to have such a hardworking husband. I love him very much, and miss him sooo much when we are apart.

The girls and I will be heading home tomorrow because Alexis has her 4Th riding lesson on Friday morning.. and also has a Open House thing to go to for school on Saturday.

Alexis started horse riding lessons a few weeks ago! We decided that we wanted to see if Alexis' obsession with horses was just a phase or if it was something she really was passionate about. Well I think we now know that it is something she LOVES! She has no fear around horses and her teacher said she was a natural from day one. The horse she's been riding is named "Sunny." Alexis' is learning how to do literally everything you need to know in order to ride a horse. She even leads the horse, brushes the horse, saddles it, and cleans the horse shoes. She loves being on "Sunny" and does such a good job during her lessons! I'm sooo proud of her! We've been looking around for horses to see if we can find her one. The lady that is teaching Alexis also cares for horses and will keep the horse for us if we find one. Then Alexis can just go ride the horse whenever she wants. So I guess we'll see. Alexis says she'd rather us buy her a horse for her b-day present this year then take her to Disneyland. When I was Alexis' age I would've definitely picked Disneyland.. LOL! But she knows what she wants.

Alexis will be starting dance in September! And she is VERY excited :) We've also decided that we will be putting Alexis in Preschool this year instead of Kindergarten. I really don't want her to be the youngest in her class.. and since she just barely turned 5 we decided it'd be best to wait. She also hasn't been able to attend a full year of preschool yet, since we moved before she could finish. So she starts that at the end of August! She is also super excited for that! So we'll have one busy little lady soon! I think it'd be fun to put her in Gymnastics too! I just want my kids to have the opportunity to try anything they want to.. and that is also something she is wanting to try.

Well we've been trying to think of some ideas for a family vacation this summer before Alexis' gets to busy. It is so hard though because Jonathon still doesn't have a set schedule. So we never know for sure when he'll be off. They are supposed to be getting more set schedules very soon to where he'll work 2 weeks and then have a week off.
A few ideas we've come up with are...
*Disneyland - Who doesn't love Disneyland? But we don't really know if it'd be worth it with Kinleigh, because Jonathon or I would have to stay and watch her while either him or me went on rides with Alexis.) Plus Alexis is still a little too short to ride on the cool rides with her Daddy!
*Disney Cruise! - This would be SOOOO fun! Of course we could do either a 4, 5, or 7 night cruise. But I don't know how much I'd want to do a cruise with 2 kids, and Jonathon and I are wanting to do another cruise for our Anniversary this year. So 2 cruises in less than 4 months is a little intense.
* Oregon Coast! - This would be a lot of fun! We'd be able to stay with a few family members and friends along the way. There are a lot of neat stops along the way.. but all together it'd be over 30 hours of driving :( and Kinleigh HATES her car seat.
*Lake Powell! - Of course once again this would be a lot of fun! We would want to do this with my family though, and right now the boys schedules are different. :(

So as you can see they all sound AWESOME! But they all have some downfalls as well. I am NOT giving up though. I'm determined that we go on at least one vacation before fall. :)

Family Pictures 2011 :)

My cousin Celise Salmon was in Utah for Keri's wedding, and she was nice enough to take our family pictures before the reception. I think they turned out great! THANKS CELISE :) We really needed new family pictures :)
