Giving up already?

Okay so I feel like a horrible person.. Copper is driving me CRAZY :( So he was doing really well with the potty training thing but he IS NOT doing so good today.. Jonathon has taken him with him when he's gone to the office the past couple days but today he had to go supervise a job.. So I got stuck with him.. We are still at Jonathon's mom's house till this weekend and we've had to leave him tied up so that he won't have accidents on the carpet... Well that is causing him to be the MOST ANNOYING dog ever!! I DO NOT think I'm an indoor dog person.. I'm way to clean.. I can't stand the wet dog smell that lingers in the air every time he comes back in the house. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with him.. and might just might have to give him away already... He's a great looking dog but I just wanted to wait to have a house.. and have an outdoor dog.. Not to mention there is a 500.00 dollar deposit for him at this apartment that we'll only be in for 4 months.. So with the present situation I think we might have to give him up :( I feel horrible though because Jonathon has wanted a dog for so long.. But he also agrees that the 500.00 deposit is something that we just don't want to have to do.. I think we only get 150.00 back if that.. So I guess we'll see.. I'll let you guys know what happens..

I'm not surprised;) I knew you wouldn't last long. I would be the same way. See you guys this weekend.

It is like having another kid, they need feed, exercised, love and attention. When you go any where you need to find someone to tend them. When you are more settled and have your own place it will be better. The dog gets used to his surroundings and fits better into your routine. Cocoa still drives me crazy, so I see where you are coming from. When I was young it was great to have pets, so for your kids sakes you might have to be a little more flexible.

I feel for ya! Sometimes when we are bored we go to the pet store and play with the puppies and Scott always wants to take one home but I agree with every single thing you said (smell, potty training, deposit) and I always have to tell him he has to wait till we get a house and the dog can live outside! NO INSIDE DOGS! Lol can you tell I feel strongly on the subject?
