Alexis and little Preston boy!

Well we just got back from going up north this past weekend. We left on Friday morning around 8 am. Jonathon had to be up there by noon because he had services to do for the Pest Control Company. So when we got up there him and Chad headed out for the day. I hung out at Kelly's for a little bit and got ready. Then later after Jonathon finished we went over to his Aunt Valynn's house to visit. That night we went and got frozen yogurt with Chad, Kelly, Nicole, Keri, and a guy that she is kind of dating, named Russell. It was a lot of fun :) On Saturday morning I had my Repeat Ultrasound scheduled for 10:30 a.m. I was so nervous.. because I didn't want the guy to say that I still had Placenta Previa. I've been praying all month long to please just let the Placenta be where it needs to be. Not even a minute into the Ultrasound the tech said well from what I can see the Placenta is no where near the cervix!! He told me the doctor would have to confirm it... but that I shouldn't be worried anymore. I felt such a huge relief :) I almost started crying in the room... but stopped myself. The rest of the ultrasound was really quick.. she was kicking around and she had her hands clasped together for a second! He just hurried and measured her head.. and said that she is right about where she should be measuring. Her heartbeat was 143 and he said that she is definitely still a girl :) She looked perfect! Alexis was in the room with me and would say "there is her head, there is her legs" and so on. She also looked at me and said "I just really hope that the baby doesn't have to go back to heaven." The Ultrasound guy kind of laughed and I explained to him that when I miscarried we told Alexis that the baby needed to go back to heaven.. he looked at Alexis and said "Nope, you are going to get a baby sister out of this one!"

In her prayers the other night.. she also had asked Heavenly Father to please help that her baby didn't have to go back to heaven this time. It was such a precious moment. She loves this baby so much.. Alexis asks me every single day.. "Mom, how's that baby doing." She also gives my belly lots of hugs and kisses and will talk and sing to her baby sister. She keeps asking me when the baby will be able to come out.. She then says "The baby still needs to get bigger huh?" She is already the best big sister.. and always so concerned with how I'm taking care of the baby in my belly.
I know that Heavenly Father answered my prayers.. and I'm beyond thankful and just feel very blessed.

When I got out to the car after the Ultrasound I just started crying. I can't explain the relief I feel to know that so far the baby is doing really good.. and things look great! I'm so in love with this little baby girl and can't wait to hold her in my arms.

I spent the rest of Saturday kind of just sitting around.. I watched conference while Jonathon drove up to SLC to go to the Priesthood session with his Uncles and cousins. His Uncle had an extra ticket and he was really excited to go! They all went last year too. Afterwards they all went to Golden Coral and pigged out. So while he was there I went and had dinner at Kelly's house with Kelly, Keri, Erin, Chad, Nicole, and Alexis. Erin made really yummy spaghetti! After that I met Jonathon over at Dennis and Valynn's and got to visit with Chris and Summer and see there 3 little ones :)

Sunday was relaxing and we spent most of it watching conference. All the talks were amazing.. And I really enjoyed watching it. I think we as members are so blessed to be able to hear from our beloved Prophet and his counselors. This world is pretty crazy, so it's nice to be able to get guidance and counsel from the leaders of the church. Later Sunday night we went over to Dennis and Valynn's again just for a little bit.. It was nice to visit with Jonathon's family.

Early this morning I had just a regular OB check up with Dr. Willis. Baby's heartbeat was 145 and he confirmed the ultrasound results :) It's always nice to hear the baby's heartbeat. I told Jonathon that I could sit and watch her on an Ultrasound all day long and not get bored :) Just for Journal purposes from when I first went to the doc to now I've gained 7 lbs. Which I guess isn't horrible considering I'm more than half way done. I don't know... We'll see!

Anyways that was our weekend.. Alexis is still doing great in Preschool! My mom, Derek, and I went out to the Mine that Jonathon and my dad work at and had them give us a tour on Thursday night! It was awesome :) I didn't have my camera :( So I didn't take any pics. I'm sure we all looked lovely... with our hard hats, boots, and mining lights on our heads! It was really neat to see where Jonathon works everyday. I don't know if I could be underground for 10 hours everyday.. but it was fun to go down in there. It doesn't really seem like you are underground unless you let yourself start thinking about it. Derek even ran the jackleg for a minute... (that is the machine they use to put a bunch of holes in the rock for the Dynamite to go in.) We even got to hear a blast go off! Jonathon said it wasn't a very good one.. But I thought it was cool! We are all doing great! Jonathons and Chads Pest Control business is doing really good.. It seems like whenever we are up there for them to do services they end up staying out longer because they get another sell! I'm really excited for next summer and they are both anxious :) I guess that is it for now..
