38 Weeks! And a new month already??

I can't even believe that January is already gone.. and February is FINALLY here :) I'm am now 38 weeks today.. but since I've blogged almost everyday this past week, I don't have anything to say about the pregnancy. I know it is shocking.. LOL

The weather has been pretty nice lately.. but today is FREEZING! It has been snowing off and on since yesterday.. and to be honest I would've much rather had this kind of weather more in December and January. I don't really want to be having to take the baby out in this stuff.

Alexis went to preschool this morning.. and she seems to still really be liking it. Her teacher says that she is doing really good :) She is getting so big, and sometimes I still get really sad when I think about how big she is. She has even started pouring herself her own chocolate milk. She loves loves chocolate milk and used to constantly ask me if I could get her some. I guess this weekend while I was gone, Jonathon let her get her own. Now I'll come in the kitchen, and she has the Nesquick out. She actually does a really good job. She puts the milk back in the fridge and she is good to go. Every morning she still talks to my belly and says "Good morning Kinleigh!" At night she says goodnight to my belly as well. She still constantly says things that are so hilarious.. and I just don't even know where she gets half of the things she says. She still only allows me to do her hair certain ways. It is frustrating because I've always had so much fun trying different things with her hair. But she'll definitely let me know if she thinks it's "ugly."

I'm not sure why.. but Alexis has been sick a lot lately. When she was younger she'd get sick maybe once or twice a year. These past couple of months it seems like she's either been sick with a cough, stuffy nose, or stomach bug. I hate when she is sick.. so it's been very frustrating. Alexis still really will only eat things like Mac N' Cheese, Ramen Noodles, Tuna fish sandwiches, and Cereal. We always try to get her to try other things.. but she is so picky. She loves my moms enchiladas, but even things most kids love she doesn't really like too much. I always worry that she isn't getting everything she needs. Hopefully she'll start liking more foods. Alexis is so easy to keep entertained. She of course loves watching movies, and cartoons. I try to only let her watch movies and cartoons for a couple of hours at the most each day. Then she'll go upstairs and play dress-up or she'll just play with her toys. She loves to read her tag books, and she loves playing with her horse "Flicka." I can't believe how good she can keep herself entertained just doing puzzles, or whatever she can think of. She is so good at puzzles, it's crazy. She also loves helping me with whatever I'm doing. She helped me make cookies yesterday and had a great time. She loves when Jonathon gets home, because they wrestle for hours and just play together. I wish I had more energy to play with her right now.. but I know she understands. I love when she just comes and sits next to me and cuddles :) I'm so glad she still lets me just hold her and kiss on her. Alexis and I play "Farkle" a lot.. and even though she has no idea what she is really doing.. besides just having to roll the dice, she has beat me every single time. LOL.
She of course loves going over to Izzy and Sorcia's. She loves holding their bunnies, and playing with Ami's dog Shadow. Alexis is still really good about saying Please and Thank You. She'll also say No, Thank You. For some reason she has gotten on this new thing.. and if Jonathon or I tell her to do something she'll say "Yes, Sir!" I tried to explain to her that she would say "Yes, Mam" to me.. but she still just says "Yes, Sir!"
She still loves anything that has to do with singing and dancing. She loves when I read to her.. and really likes going to the library to get more books! I just love her so so much.. and just enjoy her so much :) I can't wait to see what she is going to be like with the baby!

Jonathon is doing good. He is getting really sick of mining though. He reminded me last night that he has only 3 months left of this work. I didn't really ever hear him complain about this job or about mining until my dad left. He said that working for my dad is just so much better, because my dad actually knows what he is doing, and cares about his workers. I can tell he is just really ready for a change already. He has a hard time going to sleep at night because he is always thinking about what he can do for the business.
I think both of us are getting really anxious to move on from here and get the business going. Monticello isn't at all where we want to be. Of course we enjoy the time we get with my family.. but we are both definitely more city people. I know Jonathon gets very very bored here.. as do I. I don't see us ever living in a small town again. But I guess you never really know what the future holds.
