Journal Update!

I feel like I've been a total slacker on blogging lately... so I wanted to hurry and jot down a few things.

Alexis- is doing Amazing! She is getting so big and she makes me proud every single day. She is so excited for Summer a.k.a. her birthday!!
She has been doing so good in school and that makes me very happy!!
She is still in gymnastics but now goes to Jump Up Gymnastics. She seems to really like it. Right now they are practicing for a performance later this month.
She is still in dance just right here at Ultimate Dance.. and again is practicing for her recital later this month. She said that she wants to take a break from dance for the Summer.. and then wants to try hip hop instead of just the regular jazz/ballet class.
She started singing lessons last month and really enjoys it. Her teacher is a lady in the Ward and just lives right down the street. They are practicing a group song and solos for a performance they'll have in June!
Alexis had her very first soccer game on April 21st. She had a little bit of a breakdown that day. She was a little frustrated because she didn't really know what to do. Jonathon practiced with her at home and at her second soccer game she scored 3 goals! She definitely has the hang of it now and does such a great job! She's played in 4 games so far!

If Alexis isn't at school or in one of her activities you can usually find her outside, or across the street at Sophie's house! She loves to ride her bike and scooter!

She is such a good little helper, and keeps Kinleigh pretty entertained! They are so cute together. Every night we turn on music and they just dance and jump around!

Lately Alexis has really wanted to help around the house. She says her chores are her room and unloading the dishwasher. So every morning she checks to see if the dishwasher is clean or dirty. I actually love it, because I HATE unloading the dishwasher. LOL!

I can't believe that Alexis will be 6 in just a couple of months... :( I don't care how old she gets, she will always be my little baby!

So at Alexis' second soccer game, Jonathon told her that if she scored a goal he'd buy her a horse. Well she ended up scoring 3 goals so Jonathon kept to his word and started looking on KSL. Alexis will be starting riding lessons again here soon.. and she told us that she still really wants to ride Sunny. Jonathon ended up convincing her to wait to get a horse.. and instead bought her a 4-wheeler. That has kept her pretty happy.. and I'd rather her practice on Sunny one more summer!

Well that is just a little bit about Alexis... I love her so much and I'm so proud to be her mom! She makes me laugh every single day!

Kinleigh- is EVERYWHERE! I don't remember Alexis being into everything like Kinleigh is right now. We have locks on everything! If Kinleigh isn't sleeping she is moving. She never sits still. She loves to play with Alexis, loves to be outside, loves the cat, and loves to SCREAM! Kinleigh is our little climber. She climbs everything. I came out of my room the other day and she had managed to climb her high chair and was sitting on the tray part of it. I don't remember Alexis climbing on anything. Kinleigh is definitely a hand full, but she is so much fun! She loves to give hugs and kisses, and loves to cuddle. She loves to have her white and green blanket with her all the time.. and she'll search the house until she finds it. She'll get her blanket and bottle and come look for me to cuddle her! Kinleigh is so cute in the car. Any song that comes on she'll start bobbing her head, and kicking her feet!
She is usually good about trying different foods, but Ramen noodles are still her favorite :) She is our little busy bee, but we love her to pieces!

Jonathon- is staying busy with work. When he is working that is pretty much his life. So for 2 weeks it is pretty much the girls and I. He tries to spend as much time as possible with us, even if he is exhausted. He is trying to teach Alexis how to ride her 4-wheeler that he bought her. He is loving his street bike he got.. and he rides it to work as much as possible. He just got a new stereo system for his truck and him and his buddy from work have been busy with that the last couple of days. He of course loves his week off.. and we pretty much spend the whole week playing.. and trying to get stuff done around the house. Him and Alexis get our soccer net out as much as possible and play soccer together. He is such a great Dad and always tries to make an effort to spend every minute he can with the girls!

I am tired... LOL! I pretty much go all day with just the housework, kids, yard work, and so on. It seems like the girls and I are on the go a lot. We love to be outside on warm days.. so we go to the park a lot or we'll just play in the yard. We try to go to as many softball games of Ami's girls as we can.. and try to go to Jonathon's moms when we get the chance. I have been organizing baby clothes and still have a few boxes to go through. It seems so surreal that in less than two months we'll have another sweet angel baby. I am going to have my hands full! I'm so glad that it is starting to get so nice.. I love working out in the yard and have really found a love for it this year. Last year I didn't really care to much about it. I even enjoy mowing the lawn :) I'm so excited for summer to start! We have some really fun things planned. We are planning a Lake Powell trip, camping with my family, and camping with Jonathon's! We are also planning a family vacation to San Diego! We are also doing some things around the house. We are getting the upstairs re-painted, we are going to have tile put in, and new carpet as well. I'm excited for the upgrades!!

Our family is doing great! Alexis is getting really excited for the new baby.. and keeps asking if we can go get her cut out yet. Yes, she knows that I have to have my babies like that. She does remind me that "we" are going to be very busy with two babies!
