This past week has been pretty challenging. Last Monday night I started having horrible back pain. It came on so quickly and it really freaked Jonathon and I out. We left early from his friends BBQ just in case it kept getting worse. I started to wonder if it was back labor because I'd never experienced anything like it.. and I haven't had back labor during any of my pregnancies. The pain started around 10:00 p.m. and Jonathon said we could go to the E.R. but I thought I'd just tough it out.. and see if it went away. Around 4:30 a.m. I had had enough. Nothing was helping, and I just couldn't handle the pain. I started to think that it was most likely kidney stones. Jonathon I and were at the hospital from around 5 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. that afternoon. They wanted to make sure baby was doing okay so I spent most of that time in Labor and Delivery. Baby was doing great but at one point I was having contractions every 6 minutes. After being monitored for a few hours they took me back down to the E.R. and tried to get my pain under control. I had an ultrasound and they discovered that I have Kidney Stones in both Kidneys and I also have Gallstones. I don't think I've passed anything yet because my back pain still comes and goes. I don't like pain meds.. so I won't take one until I start feeling the pain, so then I'm in really bad pain for about 20 minutes till the meds kick in. I saw Dr. Willis last Thursday for my regular OB check-up and he said that I'll have to get my gall-bladder taken out after I have the baby. Hopefully the gallstones won't become too bad before I can get it out.
Jonathon started his week off that Monday.. so I was so thankful I had him home to help me with the girls. For the first few days I pretty much just slept. My mom was also a huge help. She was supposed to go home that Tuesday, but was nice enough to stay up here to help me out. The pain has been something that is really in-explainable. It is so frustrating to not be able to just go about my day as usual. I still feel so exhausted and I have no motivation to do much at all. Jonathon went back to work today.. and I'm just hoping that I'll pass the kidney stone that is bothering me right now.
That same Tuesday morning that I found out I had Kidney Stones.. we started having tile installed in our house. The guys had already started to drive down from Syracuse, so we didn't want to make them turn around. They've been working on it for a whole week. They think they will finish today. Needless to say my house is a complete DISASTER!! It's been hard trying to relax and feel better with all the chaos. But I'm excited for the final look. They've really done a great job! We also had our house painted last week and I thought that was messy.. Boy was I wrong! Getting tile installed is very very messy. There was a time that we didn't have any toilets in any of the bathrooms. Luckily they realized pretty quickly that there was no way we could go without a toilet, so they worked quickly. LOL!!
I can't believe that I only have a month and four days before Paisley will be here. I'm not going to lie I feel so overwhelmed. I really hope I start feeling better so that I can get this house in order and back to normal before baby comes. :)
