The night before was soooo stinking cute. My mom stayed up here with me for the last two weeks to get stuff together for the wedding. So we pretty much were out and about constantly the last 2 weeks. Anyways we were driving home the night before her birthday. It was 11:45 pm. so I kept saying "Alexis you are almost 5 years old!" So she says "Mom you pinky promise I'm going to be older?" I was like "Yeah of course." So 12:00 am. comes and me and my mom start saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY YAY!! And Alexis just starts bawling. I was like "Alexis what in the world is the matter?" She goes "Mom, you pinky promised me that I was going to be bigger." I was pretty confused and I said "Alexis you are older, you are 5!" She then said "No, I'm not 5!" "I'm not bigger!" I finally got what she meant and tried to make her feel better. She thought she'd be bigger like Sorcia and Izzy. The poor little thing thought that by turning 5 she'd grow. LOL! It was the cutest thing ever :) Also very sad.. because she was devastated. I'm not sure why she wants to already be as old as Sorcia and Izzy.. because I want her to stay as little as possible. I was very upset that she was turning 5 :( It feels like she was born yesterday. Anyways.. even though Keri's bridal shower was the same day as Alexis. I think she felt pretty special. Everyone made sure to say Happy Birthday and she did go and spent the night with Aunt VaLynn. There is no one better in the whole world to give Alexis their FULL attention than her Auntie VaLynn. :) :) I LOVE MY 5 YEAR OLD PRINCESS SOOOOOOO MUCH!!
Keri's bridal shower was a lot of fun! It turned out really good :) Kelly hosted it. And I know she did lots of work on her yard and stuff to get ready for the shower.
